New York, NY – Aug. 9, 2018 – EnergyHub, the leading provider of connected device and distributed energy resource (DER) solutions for utilities, and Seminole Electric Cooperative, one of the largest generation and transmission cooperatives in the United States, are announcing the launch of Cooperative Rewards, a Bring Your Own Thermostat® (BYOT) demand response program serving all nine of Seminole’s member cooperatives.

Seminole will begin using the EnergyHub Mercury distributed energy resource management system (DERMS) to manage the Cooperative Rewards program in the summer of 2018. With the majority of peak demand days occurring in the winter, Seminole will operate the program year-round for both summer and winter demand response.

The Cooperative Rewards program includes eligible thermostats from all major thermostat brands, maximizing options for Seminole’s members. Members with eligible thermostats receive $40 when they enroll in the program and an additional $40 at the end of the first program season.

“The Mercury DERMS was built to manage utility programs of all sizes, so it’s exciting to see our software used to enable one program across nine cooperatives,” said Seth Frader-Thompson, President and Co-founder of EnergyHub. “Our experience managing successful programs in both seasons will be very useful to the cooperatives in this year-round program.”

EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS is used by more than 30 utilities across the United States to manage demand response, energy efficiency, and distributed energy resource (DER) programs. Combining sophisticated analytics with the largest ecosystem of connected device and DER partners in the industry, EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS is the industry-leading platform for helping utilities manage both customer- and utility-installed DERs.
