New York, NY – July 10, 2018 – EnergyHub, the leading provider of connected device and distributed energy resource (DER) solutions for utilities, and Salt River Project (SRP), a community-based, not-for-profit public power utility and the largest provider of electricity in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, have announced a new Bring Your Own Thermostat® (BYOT) demand response program.

SRP Logo DWPSalt River Project is working with EnergyHub to launch SRP Flex Rewards, a BYOT pilot program designed to help SRP understand the potential of managing system peak through demand response and meet the utility’s demand-side management goals. Customers who enroll their eligible connected thermostats can receive a $75 incentive per device for enrolling up to two devices in the program and a $25 participation incentive per device at the end of the summer season.

“This program is going to help Salt River Project better manage its emerging grid needs while providing customers with plenty of options when it comes to selecting their connected thermostat,” said Duane Pearson, Manager of Customer Program Innovation at Salt River Project. “After careful review, we determined that the flexibility of EnergyHub’s platform to handle a wide variety of smart thermostats and other connected devices, as well as their vast BYOT program management experience, made them the best partner to help provide our customers with a great experience.”
