New York, NY — Aug. 9, 2018 — EnergyHub, the leading provider of connected device and distributed energy resource (DER) solutions for utilities, is proud to announce the launch of a new Bring Your Own Thermostat® (BYOT) demand response program with Lincoln Electric System.

Lincoln Electric System is using EnergyHub’s Mercury Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) platform to deploy a customer-friendly BYOT demand response program beginning in the summer of 2018.

The LES Peak Rewards program will empower customers to play a role in helping LES manage its system peak, typically occurring during the late afternoon on warm weekdays in the summer. LES customers who own eligible internet-connected thermostats — from Nest, Honeywell, Lux, Radio Thermostat, Sensi or others — can enroll them at LESPeakRewards.com to participate in the program. Customers will receive an incentive for each thermostat enrolled and an annual bill credit for participating.

“Internet-connected thermostats provide convenience and comfort while helping customers save energy,” said Marc Shkolnick, manager of energy services at LES. “By enrolling in LES Peak Rewards, customers can help the community delay the need for another generating resource, and that benefits everyone.”

LES is using EnergyHub’s DERMS to manage enrollment, application validation, demand response dispatch, data management, and program reporting. EnergyHub is also providing LES with end-to-end program management for Peak Rewards, including marketing, customer support, and incentive processing — as well as coordination and management across all thermostat partners.

“We’re very excited to work with Lincoln Electric System and deliver an outstanding experience to their customers through LES Peak Rewards,” said Seth Frader-Thompson, President and Co-founder of EnergyHub. “The program promises to both be popular with customers and help the utility manage peak demand.”

The Mercury DERMS is used by more than 30 utilities across the United States to manage demand response, energy efficiency, and DER programs. Combining sophisticated analytics with the largest ecosystem of connected device and DER partners in the industry, EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS is the industry-leading platform for helping utilities manage both customer- and utility-installed DERs.
