BROOKLYN, N.Y., March 31st, 2021: EnergyHub today announced the addition of two experienced industry leaders to the company’s executive team. Seth Cousins is joining as Vice President of Product, and Kevin Schwain as Senior Director of Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy. The two bring unique experience designing and deploying utility technology solutions at scale and will help lead the expansion of the company’s grid-edge DERMS platform and services.Demand has grown among utilities for a dedicated platform to manage grid-edge DERs, with EnergyHub now working with more than 50 utilities to manage over 2000 MW of flexible load. The addition of Cousins and Schwain will help EnergyHub deepen and diversify its capabilities to help utilities orchestrate behind-the-meter DERs, including electric vehicle charging, thermostats, batteries, commercial and industrial resources, and solar inverters.
Cousins will lead EnergyHub’s product strategy, developing and executing the roadmap for EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS platform. Cousins brings over 25 years of software industry experience including deep expertise in enterprise utility software, having previously served as Director of Product and Senior Director of Delivery at Opower. He will also oversee the growth of EnergyHub’s product team, which has doubled in the past year, to accelerate the development of new grid-edge management functionality.

In his previous role managing transportation electrification at Xcel Energy, he designed and implemented industry-leading EV charging programs across millions of homes and businesses, giving him unique expertise in the needs and priorities of utilities preparing for the impacts of widespread EV adoption on the grid. His hiring demonstrates EnergyHub’s commitment to expanding the features and services of EnergyHub’s EV solutions to help utilities manage the flexibility of EV charging and enable transportation electrification.
