EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS was recently highlighted in Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s “Distributed Energy Resource Management 101” report, which favorably compares Mercury to other enterprise DERMS providers, including companies such as Siemens, Schneider, and GE.

The report aims to clearly define what a DERMS is and what it should do based on research and interviews with industry leaders. As the report says: “This research note pries apart the acronyms to map the current state of distributed energy management technologies, their use cases, and the leading vendors.”

Bloomberg recognized EnergyHub as a leading provider of DERMS. The report noted that EnergyHub’s Mercury platform provides all of the core DERMS functions a utility would need, such as DER monitoring and forecasting, aggregator coordination, and DER optimization and dispatch. The report also highlighted the strength of Mercury’s customer enrollment capabilities.

Employing real-time analytics and dynamic visualizations, EnergyHub’s Mercury DERMS is uniquely equipped to provide the suite of solutions utilities need to monitor and manage a range of distributed energy resources — including smart inverters, battery energy storage systems, smart thermostats, grid-interactive water heaters, and electric vehicles.

The recognition from Bloomberg comes on the heels of EnergyHub announcing Mercury 3.0 in September, which enabled DERMS capabilities for all EnergyHub utility clients. You can see a preview of the report on the Bloomberg New Energy Finance blog.
